Sophia Jalilvand: SpaceX to fly two space tourists around the moon in 2018

Summary: Two thrill-seeking individuals (their names have not been released yet) are going to take a "tour" around the moon in 2018. Later this year they are going to start training and undergoing fitness tests for this trip. They are likely paying millions, although the numbers havve not been released yet. SpaceX is paying the Russians $80 million per seat to send them up to the station. They said this is likely not going to be the last trip because others have expressed this interest as well.

Analysis: It is so interesting to see how science and technology are expanding so rapidly! Regular trips up to space may be in our near future, which is extremely fascinating to me. The era of information is really living up to its name. I can't wait to see what people come up with next and how much time it will take until regular space trips are a reality.

  2. That really is cool! It sounds scary but hopefully this trip will help improve the safety, and maybe even cause innovations in the industry in assistance of the trip.
