Personalities can transform almost beyond recognition- Austin Wallace

A new study finds that over an interval of almost sixty three years, ones personality can become almost unrecognizable to what it once was. When you think about it, it isn't really that shocking, but it is very interesting seeing it put into perspective like this. They have found a direct correlation between the differences in personality assessment results and the interval between which the assessments take place. The researchers do note that there could be an inherent bias in the older assessments as personality research has change greatly over the decades, but still serves as an important fid in the effort to better understand the human mind.

Studies like these can be linked to the renaissance, where ideas about philosophy and psychology were very prevalent. Research like this, while not always directly relevant to society at large, serves a very important purpose in better understanding ourselves, and by extension each other. A problem that often lies at the root of many of our world's greatest flaws.

  1. This is such an interesting topic! It is a realization that your personality continues to change as you evolve.
