We all know donald trump is somehow leading the polls in the GOP and it's not the fact that he's leading but it's why that's so insane. Absurdly racist comments toward immigrants and hispanics didn't shrink his polls it actually caused a major inflation. Making controversy the new way to rise in the GOP polls. Throwing common decency out of the window. What's ad it because of trumps succes many republicans have followed suit making numerous racist and distasteful comments. Like mike huckabee towards koreans and ben carson towards jews. This should not be the norm and comments made by these candidates show how racism is still able to hold a grip on america in so many ways. If legitimate candidates can make these comments without losing support and in fact gaining some. How can we expect to eliminate the racism from everyday people in our everyday life. These comments also show how little our country has changed despite how easily we criticize those that came before us. Who's beliefs and way of speaking our being replicated just with a slight change in circumstance and situation but still getting similarly successful results. It's actually very discouraging to see this. Of course there is one positive thing that has repeated it's self in history. Those ideas being challenged by others resulting in those negative beliefs not becoming the political policy. As a country we always need to be moving forward and letting people with ideas like the ones mentioned will only move it backwards.
