With school shooting becoming more and more relevant, we are forgetting one thing in the mass hysteria. Every time we mention the shooting, or the shooter, on national news, we are promoting the incident and supporting copycat events. By giving the shooters national recognition, they are just getting what they wished for. To be talked about, and to be remembered. Soon it comes to a point where the name of the shooter is remembered but not the names of the victims. This is sick, and disturbing. Mainstream media needs to take this into account. Scientist have found that roughly 30% of mass shootings have been inspired by others within the last several weeks. Together, we can bring down these numbers and eventually end mass shootings.
