In depressing news this weekend, a shooting at Chapel Hill killed three people. The police are speculating that an ongoing dispute over parking is what caused the incident. The police have reprimanded "Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, has been charged with First-Degree Murder."
The amount of murders have seemed to increase as history goes on, and the reasons for murders seem to get sillier and sillier. However, there were just as many, if not more, murders in the past, from duels, to falsely accusing a neighbor of a crime because they did something you didn't like. The human affinity for murder is quite worrisome.

I personally believe the shooting was a religious issue and I think it's so sad that the land that's supposed to be revered for its authorization of all religions could have people that still don't respect that. People come here thinking they'll have a better life but really we are just as prejudice as any other country. My thoughts are with the families of the 3 killed.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the majority of current events involved the second amendment. This will forever be a controversy, and I hope that we will find some kind of truce.
ReplyDeleteObviously this man was a terrible person. He took advantage of the second amendment right and used it to commit a horrible act of violence.
