$350 down the drain by Megan Darlington

Cornell is making students who already have their own health insurance pay 350 dollars to opt out of the required health insurance they would have to pay at the university! The students are very upset that they are having to pay extra fees to honestly, get nothing at all. This rule is making students speak up for their money! The college mentioned the health insurance was almost sure not to be covered by financial aid.
I think that forcing people to pay money, to get out of paying even more money a university is ridiculous. Forcing people to pay for things they don't want to pay any extra for is dumb. I have a feeling that this is how people used to feel when taxes were first introduced because it just feels like extra expenses. Poor colonists who first settled in America...

  1. This is just like taxes all over again! Things just keep on getting more and more expensive, is America truly the land of the free when we are all burdened with taxes and debts?

  2. This is an extremely inconvenient fee that they have to pay. What is the practicality of paying for not paying.
