Boston Blizzard -Hadassah Lai

Not only has Boston been under an unimaginable blizzard, they've also set the record for the biggest snowfall. In just 14 days. they have received about 70-80 inches of snow, forcing people to be locked in their houses. Only one has died, and it's not from frostbite. Cesar Moya was struck by a plowing and died from injuries in the hospital. One resident has started a hashtag called #getmeoutofhere to accurately describe his feelings and those around him.

Snow may be pretty and beautiful, but it can also be deadly. Too much of it can drive people insane. It may seem like something people can easily conquer, but it isn't. It takes much work to get rid of it, and people can never control nature. In the colonial times, colonists died from the cold, getting pneumonia and other kinds of diseases because of exposure. We should be grateful that we have technology these days like plowing trucks to help us get through incidences like these.

  1. This snow is crazy. The seniors from last year sent me snapchats of the blizzard and the snow and it is so scary.
