Students Guilty of Abduction and Murder - Max Gaddis 9th period

Natalie Keepers and David Eisenhauer were charged on Sunday and Saturday respectively with felony charges for the death of 13-year old Nicole Lovell of Blacksburg, Virginia. Nicole went missing Wednesday and her body was found Saturday. Keepers and Eisenhauer are both general engineers at Virginia Tech. Nicole's mom says that she was severely bullied at school and often stayed home because the bullying was too much. She commented that her and Eisenhauer might've met online, and her room was left in such a way to suggest that she snuck out to meet him.

This is super shady honestly, why would a middle schooler meet up with a college kid and why would two college kids plot to abduct and murder a middle schooler? This reminded me of the movie Carrie because the girl was just looking for a way to be happy and she ended up dead. I just find the entire thing really confusing and upsetting.

  1. These stories are really horrifying. This disturbed college student took advantage of an innocent girl who was really struggling. I think more people, and especially parents, need to be aware of the dangers of internet and educate their children so that situations like this do not happen again.

  2. This is very sad, and also confusing to me, because I don't know why those college kids would want to kill a 13 year old. I hope parents see this and remember that they should teach their kids about Internet safety and make sure that they know where their kids are.

  3. I agree that's pretty shady, something else must have been going on that Nicole's mom didn't know about.
