Jillian Linnear P.8 | Inmates Escape Jail

Summary
This article was about three inmates in a California jail who escaped by cutting through their quarter-inch steel plates, then using plumbing tunnels and finally using their bed sheets to get down five stories. The three inmates had all one thing in common and that was, that they all were in jail for murder or at least attempted murder. Police say, that these men are extremely dangerous and that any information leading to their arrest will be awarded with fifty-thousand dollars.

Reason
The article was written to inform people that there are dangerous men on the loose, and that anything that will help will be awarded.

Connection
This escape can be connected to the Libby Prison Escape in 1864 during the American Civil War, as they share similarities. One of the similarities being that multiple people escaped, three in this case, and in the Libby Prison Escape one hundred plus escaped. Another similarity that can be seen is that in both escapes they used plumbing tunnels to help them in their escape.

  1. I think this is terrible, how is it possible that these people have escaped and no one noticed? (Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)
