Banksy Criticizes French Police- Margaret King 1st

Banksy, a well known street artist, has done a new mural opposite the French Embassy in London to bring awareness and criticize the use of teargas on refugees in France. His mural depicts the little girl from the Le Mis posters crying and surrounded by teargas. Officials deny any use of CS gas however Banksy has included a QR code into this mural that leads to videos of police raids in the refugee camps. This is his first interactive piece of what seems to be a series of murals all sending a message to the public and the authorities.
New artwork by street artist Banksy depicts a young girl from the musical Les Miserables with tears in her eyes as teargas moves towards her. It is the artist's latest work which aims to confront confronting the refugee crisis. Discover more...

This reminds me of how newspapers and magazines would use political cartoons to express their views and to convince readers to think the same way.
