Summary

In Hutsville, TX on September 26, 37 year old, Arturo Diaz, was put to death via lethal injection. In spring of 1999, Diaz stabbed Michael Ryan Nichols after Nichols paid  back  half of the money he borrowed from an exotic dancer. Nichols borrowed $100 from her and when he only returned her with $50, Diaz stabbed him to death while an accomplice Joe Cordova held Nichols still. This is Texas's 13th execution in 2013.

 Analysis

It's odd that nearly every time I hear of an execution, it takes place in our state. I believe in the death penalty as murders deserve severe punishment. The death penalty is outlawed in Maryland, New Mexico and Connecticut. In my opinion, that's a very idiotic decision for the states. Basically it's saying, If you wish to kill someone, do it here. You won't face the repercussions."  The death penalty is suppose to be in place not only for "punishment" but also to scare any others out of committing a murderous crime.
