This report by Ralph Ellis and David Alsup expands upon the story of a club shooting in Miami with the shocking new detail the shooter was in fact a teenager. His age is concerning not only because he was able to get into the club but because he was able get a gun. While I'm not for taking away people's rights, gun laws must be reexamined given the number of clearly angry and unstable people accessing these deadly weapons.
I agree with you in saying that gun laws need to be reconsidered. It is so hard to find a happy medium in which all people can feel secure. Regardless of the specific restrictions placed on owning guns, there will always be complaints. There does need to be something done in order to prevent situations like this from occurring again.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot do much about the gun laws in place today. We can certainly look at them, but if they change, people may be able to argue more that their right to bare arms is being limited. I think it is concerning that the troubled teen was able to get into the club in the first place. (Myles Bennett)
