Justice Served for Murdered 17- Year-Old, by Lauren Kuehmeier, Period 2

Jordan Davis, a teenager from Florida, was shot and killed by Michael Dunn over a dispute about loud music coming from Davis' vehicle. While Dunn claims he saw Davis reaching for a weapon, there was absolutely no trace of said weapon. Michael Dunn has officially been charged with first degree murder and his sentence is life without parole. He apologized to the mother and family of Jordan Davis,  but the mother claimed his apology was "paper thin".

I think this case demonstrates that justice was carried out but can never really be resolved, after all this mother has lost a son while his killer still gets to live. Although, Michael Dunn will not be living a very pleasant life and has to deal with the tragedy he caused. I think this case can teach us not to make abrupt decisions that have long lasting effects to yourself and others around you.
