Julian Smith "Thomas Eric Duncan's fiancee set to complete Ebola quarantine on Monday"
Louise Troh, her son, and her two nephews are set to be released from quarantine after nearly 20 days. Louis Troh was the fiancé of first ebola victim in America Thomas Eric Duncan. She lost her fiancé and was put in quarantine, but now luckily neither her or her family contracted the Ebola virus.
"We are so happy this is coming to an end, and we are so grateful that none of us has shown any sign of illness," Troh said in a statement on Sunday. "We have lost so much, but we have our lives and we have our faith in God, which always gives us hope."
This an extremely positive thing, people that were directly exposed to a man infected with ebola are totally healthy. This should tell us that the virus isn't quite as contagious as many believe. I'm really tired of the medias coverage on this issue. the other day I googled "how many people in america have ebola" and one of the first things that popped up was an art icily titles 1.4 million americans could have ebola by January. This absurd and its just a money making tactic. But I guess thats just how it always has been and it doesn't look like things are gonna change anytime soon.
It is indeed a positive thing, it is nice to see light being shed on this subject. Many seem to think once you have it you will die, or if you around anyone who has it you will get it, and therefor you will die. Ebola does not mean Death. It is about time to realize that you don't have to blow this out of proportion.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Ebola is a very prominent issue, I'm also so tired of hearing the media rage over the disease. America has 'blown up' the issue, and created an unnecessary and exaggerated fear of the disease. Although dangerous, there is no need for this kind of reaction.
