California has been suffering from a long drought that is affecting farmer's rice crops, which exports to over 100 countries. However, because of water restrictions, farmers planted 25% less acres than last year, affecting the cost of rice and grains in countries across the world. The drought also affected the amount of migrating birds who rely on flooded rice fields as their home.
