A 40-year old American journalist, James Foley, was beheaded
after being forced to read the ISIS’ script into the camera. In this video he
blamed the US for his death and then shortly after is quickly decapitated.
Officials say that captives were tortured and starved before their executions. There
were also three other western hostages that were beheaded- another American and
two Brits. An American aid worker who served in the U.S. Army is the ISIS’ next
victim and another British photojournalist is also in line.
This article was written today, October 26, 2014 by Joshua
Berlinger from CNN. This article was based off another article from the New
York Times, who they give full credit for the reports on the ISIS. The author doesn’t
show much sympathy towards the victims through the tone of the article, nor
does he side with anyone. In the article he writes about the tragedies of the
beheadings, but he doesn’t mention what the US government is doing to prevent
the executions or to rescue the captives.
This is so tragic to hear. I really hope the U.S. and other nations attempt to take down ISIS and their violence.
ReplyDeleteISIS is just bad. Catching my eye that the author didn't share any sympathy sets off a red flag in my head. makes you wonder.
