Iranian woman, Rayhaneh Jabbari, was hanged last Saturday for being convicted of murder of a man who allegedly raped her. This, of course, angered many people including myself as this should have been known as self defense. The UN and United States State Department both have been having major concerns about the trial, considering it 'extremely unfair.' When the incident originally happened, Jabbari was 19 years old and stabbed the man she was working for after he sexually assaulted her. A huge number or people had joined together in order to bring this execution to a halt. Unfortunately, this did not work, and we have to sit back and watch another social injustice happen, and watch yet another woman considered less than the man. Hopefully, we can advance enough as a society to never see anything like this happen again in the future.
