The X-37B space plane took off from Florida in December of 2012 and the Air Force said the plane's journey would only be about nine months, yet about 2 years later, it finally lands. The plane landed Friday morning at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Theorists are still trying to determine what the Pentagon was aspiring to do in keeping the plane in space for so long. Maybe something technical went wrong in the spacecraft or maybe there was an actual purpose as to why it was in space for so long.
The military hasn't given out too much information on the spacecraft except the main idea of the mission. Many theorists have said that the plane is just a spy craft that is against the Chinese Space Station. The Air Force has said that this mission is probably not the last to go up in space. The Space crew and many citizens of the general public I bet are anxious to see what experiments the plane was conducting and if the plane found out any important information on space.
It's amazing at how great technology has come to within the past few decades and at some times it can get out of control. For example, social media and phones in general for teenagers have become a distraction. On another note, planes in this case have created a questionable audience considering it was out doing experiments for more than twice as longer than expected. In order for technology to keep advancing, then people should be able to be informed about what is occurring and most importantly, why.
