Michael Brown's blood found on Officer Wilson's gun -Hannah Clifford 6th Period

In Ferguson, Missouri, blood was found on Officer Darren Wilson's gun. The blood was tested positive for belonging to Michael Brown. This may be helpful for Wilson's case. He claimed that Brown back him up into his car while scratching and punching him. He then claims that Brown attempted to take the officer's gun when Wilson began to shoot at him. This new evidence of Brown's blood on the gun could possibly prove that Wilson's story is true. On the opposing side, there are claims that Brown knelt to the ground with his hands on his head. If that were true, there would be no chance for his blood to get on Wilson's gun. The case is ongoing and this new evidence may prove to be hope for Officer Wilson.

This article was written by Faith Karimi and Michael Martinez for CNN on October 18. There has always been a problem with racism in our country (aka slavery or denial of rights to non whites) and many think that this police officer acted because he is white and was prejudice against Brown, who was black. However, this evidence brings to light the possibility that Darren Wilson was acting on self defense. The final verdict of whether Officer Wilson is guilty or innocent has yet to be concluded.

  1. This an interesting piece of evidence in this case and it may lead to the truth of what happened. However, even if it is discovered that Wilson acted in self-defense, I still think it is terrible that he shot an 18 year-old guy to death and he shouldn't go unpunished.

  2. This is some helpful information in helping this case move closer to an end. This could possible lead to a break in the case and we all can see the real truth. I agree with Joe that it's still very awful that this man was shot to death by this police officer.
