In the past weeks, Donetsk, Ukraine has experiences quiet a bit of action for the so called cease in fire. One resident of Ukraine, Vladimir, shares his frightening experiences. Vladimir lives in a high rise apartment with a direct view of Donetsk International Airport. The airport has been a target for rebels. One Ukraine rebel who goes by "Givi" used Vladimir's apartment complex as a base to execute an attack on the airport. Givi aimed a grenade rocket at one of the airports control towers. In response, counterattacks were carelessly launched in the direction of the apartments. The rockets missed the apartments and hit nearby houses.
This isn't the only occurrence of civilians being killed or injured in the crossfire. In one attack a local bus and an elementary school were hit killing nine people. Also, another attack a Red Cross building was hit, killing a Swiss worker. Many homes have been destroyed along with many lives, but it is hard for people just to pack up and move.
Occurrences like these relate back to any war. Currently in Israel, this happens daily. If you think back to any war fought on U.S. soil there are civilians harmed in the lines of war. During the Civil War, many towns and houses were burnt down as troops moved through the opponents land.
