Teen in Custody After Filing False Ebola Reports in Frisco- Sophia Maas 2nd period
Frisco police have taken a teen into custody after he posted a false news article about Ebola on Twitter, causing "public panic". According the the Frisco Police Department, "the teen's false report contained inaccurate reports of Ebola cases in Fricso, specifically within the Frisco Independent School District". The teen is currently still in custody and has been there since Thursday, the 2nd.
I personally know this person so maybe I'm swayed to say something that others feel that is incorrect... But I think this is stupid, the first amendment is freedom of speech. So many people post inaccurate things on Twitter all of the time. Yes this one scared many people and it was wrong to do but to arrest someone, was that really the right thing to do?
This is an article from NBCDFW By Frank Heinz.

Wow... even though he caused "public panic" I agree that that's a bit harsh.

in my opinion this is a horrible disease and no one should joke about it actually. "i got ebola, cant go to school" just things like that. its really disrespectful i think. many people have suffered from that. i mean maybe arresting him is a bit harsh, however how will they learn to stop make this horrible disease a joke. sharon cordon 4th period
