Illinois man busted trying to join ISIS left letter behind for parents: FBI - Josh Rudes Pd.4

Summary: Mohammed Hamzah Khan, a 19 year old American citizen, was arrested Monday in Chicago's O'Hare Intl. Airport while attempting to fly overseas to join the militant group, ISIS. He left a three page letter describing his actions, blasting Western civilization and praising Syria and the new "caliphate" that has been established there. Authorities found several pro-ISIS documents, all praising the group that is now terrorizing Syria and Iraq. He could be sentenced to 15 years in prison and a 250,000 dollar fine.

Analysis: Many Americans have traveled overseas since ISIS has been established. Over 100 Americans attempting to travel and join the terrorist group have either been arrested or have gone and come back. There have been many who have stayed, some even being beheaded in the process. This is not the first time an instance this has happened recently, and it will surely not be the last.
