Voting in the Midterms GRAYSON DECKER

Voting in The Midterms GRAYSON Decker

Monday morning, a record breaking 31 million people voted in the midterm elections. This is much more than the 2014 elections where only 19 million people had voted at this point in the elections. New information on the voting shows that younger voters under the age of thirty have a much higher voting percentage than they did in 2014. This included first time voters whom have increased voting percentage as much as 10% in some states.
All these statistics go back to the start of our democracy with the freedom to elect our representatives. Newer generations are now realizing that voting is a right given to us for a reason; so that the voice of the people through popular sovernity never dies.

  1. I hope that this trend can continue to grow, because there are still so many people out there who don't vote. It begs the questions: What are we doing wrong? How can we fix that? Would mobile voting help? Should their be information about the representatives at polling locations?

  2. I think that, this is great that first time voters increased about ten percent because it just give a bit more variety in people's opinions on the election.
