Police Officer and 2 others in critical condition after shooting at Mercy Hospital in Chicago
A Chicago police officer, two others and a suspect were critically shot in an incident at a local hospital Monday afternoon. Chief communications officer for the Chicago Police Department, claims on a Twitter post, that the police officer was critically wounded in the incident at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Two others and the suspected shooter were in critical condition as well following the shooting at about 3:30 p.m. The Associated Press later reported that the suspect was dead. Witness, James Gray, told WMAQ that he saw a man and a woman talking to one another before the man pulled a gun and shot the woman and then began shooting others at the hospital.
