Migrant caravan: Mexico deports group that stormed US border - Lily McCollum

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46339085

Thousands of immigrants tried to push past the US-Mexico border and were meet with tear gas. The migrants (mainly from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador) traveling in large groups called caravans to try to make a better life for their families. There is very little progress being made to allow the entry of these people, so many resorted to attempting to force their way through. The US has continued their anti immigrant policies. The conditions and mood in these shelters are worsening and and both the US and Mexico do not seem to have much sympathy.

It is very interesting to see this issue from another perspective. In Texas, this issue is very close to home, and we have heard many opinions on the topic. This article remains very impartial and just gives the information. This topic is a very important problem at the moment, and I wish that the government was taking more positive action to helping these families.

America has been cold to immigrants, despite the creation of the nation being based on stolen land. The Irish and German were greatly discriminated against when they fled their home countries due to famine or political issues.
