Anniversary of Parkland Shooting -Paige McManaman

It is just about a year since the crazy Parkland shooting that changed Americans lives and killed seventeen people. Many people have been reflecting and think about the seventeen victims of this shooting recently, but many protests and benefits have been putting together things for stronger gun control.

This shooting (Parkland shooting) and all of the shootings before it are way out of hand and should never have happened in the first place. Many times in the past shootings have been at malls, streets, parking lots, and even schools which blows my mind that a human being would even enter an area with children with a gun or any weapon in their hands with the thought in their minds to end kids lives who haven’t even truly lived yet. These events keep repeating and repeating and repeating to where there is shootings basically every week. In my opinion, stronger gun laws and things like that will only do a little change because that won’t change killer’s state of mind. Gun laws won’t stop that much except further background checks. They can’t control people’s actions.

  1. I agree that there need to be stronger gun laws that will prevent people from being able to easily access deadly weapons.
