"Twitter Bans Conservative Writer, Combat Vet Jesse Kelly. They Likely Violated Their Own Policy In Doing So." Youssef Bakr

Jesse Kelly, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served from 2000 to 2004, had his Twitter account suspended on November 25. Twitter did not give him the reason he was suspended, therefore violating its own rules. Twitter says it will inform users of "which content was in violation."

Aside from that, the more important issue at hand is that of censoring speech. Twitter has continually banned conservative speakers for expressing right-wing views. They began with Alex Jones, who no one really cares about, but nonetheless, is a right winger. Kelly warned that Jones was the first in a slippery slope ending with the ban of much of conservative expression on the "platform."

Twitter's censorship is remarkably similar to that of the Sedition Act, which barred citizens from criticizing the federal government.
