Lily Philips- Beto O'Rourke is a Possible Presidential Candidate?

Recently, Beto O'Rourke told the people of El Paso that running in the next Presidential election was a possibility, and he was not going to "rule anything out." In past interviews, he has repeatedly mentioned that he was not interested in running for president, but now, things have changed. This is certainly not a definite answer, and he still has to see what's to come with his life in the future. He wants to be able to spend more time with his family now that the senate race is over and has to talk it over with his wife, Amy, when the time comes.

This article was published by The New York Times and was written by Manny Fernandez who mainly reports on Texas and Oklahoma. This article was published yesterday, Sunday, November, 26,2018, so it is pretty recent and written the day he told El Paso this information. The audience of this would be the people of the United States. Although he was originally running for Texas Senate, he could possible be running for the whole country to see. Instead of just our state knowing him, the entire country would know him and his beliefs.  Beto can be connected to Senator Kamala D. Harris of California who is also "not ruling out" the 2020 Presidential Election. This information is relevant to all of the citizens of the United States to inform them about the future and what we can expect to see later on.

  1. With the amount of support Beto has gained, not just from Texas, but the whole country, I can see him being a good candidate for the 2020 election.

  2. I feel like many young people who will be eligible to vote in 2020 were on Beto's side, even non-Texans. I can see this becoming boisterous support during a possible campaign.

  3. I feel like anything is possible at this point when it comes to the 2020 presidential election, considering the 2016 election. I remember all of the Kanye for 2020 stuff, and while some of these are mostly jokes or small mentions, I'm interested to see if possible candidates like Kanye, Beto, Michelle Obama, and Oprah actually end up running for president. (None of these are based on personal opinion I have just heard these names in various news over the past few years.)

  4. I think he would be a solid candidate and considering how much support he gathered, even from people in other states, a win would be possible.

  5. He's really popular outside the state, which is incredible considering. I'm curious to see how this turns out

  6. I'll be able to vote in 2020, and at first that thought was overwhelming. Now, having hope that a politician I share beliefs with may run makes me hope that voting won't be stressful.

  7. Very well written article! I think that with the close race in Texas and his national recognition, Beto has a real shot at this race.
