Texas Textbooks are Controversial (Diego Garcia)

The publishers of the history textbooks have written some things that are very controversial. They have put things about slavery all the way to terrorism. The books ask these kind of questions and they can lead to many biased views. It also talks about the climate change and if humans are a key factor to all of these changes. They have seen and said they will take away a chapter from the book. They also put  if Moses influence the founding fathers. This is all in the book.

It always something to take in account in the education system. History is something that can have many views. The separation of religion and school is something that could also affect the books. There is already a certain things that people now about history and added things can confuse the students.

  1. Wow. I know that some of the books have some really odd things in them, and you can tell in some of them that someone actually wrote it because of the adjectives they use and how they've written some sentences, but it sounds like it went a little too far this time. Hopefully those books will be corrected and updated swiftly.
