Cops Slam Unarmed Woman On The Pavement, Killing Her In Front of Family Brett Akop P.5

Cops have proven to be overly aggressive and unnecessarily violent in recent months; the story behind this article goes against an individual's constitutional rights and embodies the abused power of a police officer. "Cleveland police officers recently killed a 37-year-old African American woman who died after police slammed her head on the concrete, just outside of her family’s home. Her brother explained that Tanesha Anderson was pronounced dead at Cleveland Clinic after the assault by the Ohio cops. The pronouncement came early Thursday about two hours after the police “take down” caused Anderson to bash her head on the concrete outside of her home." It appears as though a majority of cops don't have any consideration to morality and proper use of authority. I see many cops abuse their power on a regular basis; they break traffic laws, enforce rules in an overly aggressive manner and tend to be a poor influence. Clearly, this isn't true of every officer, but many cops live up to their stereotypes about a violent and abusive personality. "As the officers escorted Anderson to the police vehicle, she began actively resisting the officers,” police spokesman Sgt. Ali Pillow claimed to the local Cleveland publication, The Plain Dealer. Tanesha changed her mind about the evaluation after police slapped cuffs on her. She believed she was within her rights to decide whether she went for a voluntary evaluation. But police, at this point, argued that it was up to them. “The woman began to kick at officers,” Pillow said. “A short time later the woman stopped struggling and appeared to go limp. Officers found a faint pulse on the victim and immediately called EMS.” But Tanesha’s brother Joell gives a very different account than what the police claim. “She was more of a danger to herself than others,” he explained." 1. This is why so many people record police interactions in general. There have been so many cases of police brutality recently. All of these cases make people a little leery about police officers, can you trust them or not.
