Boy Missing 4 Years Found in Georgia Home - Corsica Steding

Four years ago, a now 13-year-old boy was reported missing by his mother.  This last saturday the two were reunited after those four long years apart.  The police found him behind a false wall in his father and stepmother's home.  The first time police searched the home for the child they weren't able to find him, but the boy called his mother and told her where he was.  The police returned to the house and found the child.  His father and stepmother were arrested and charged with false imprisonment, cruelty to children and obstruction.

Ralph Ellis, Jason Hanna and Chandler Friedman wrote this article for CNN on November 29th.  Before reading this article, I had seen part of this story on the news but did not know all of the details.  I think there are a lot of aspects about this story that should be questioned.  For instance, why did the boy keep quiet all those years? Why had he not contacted his mother earlier?  Nonetheless, I'm glad the boy was reunited with his mother and that the police were able to find him.

  1. This is crazy that nothing had turned up sooner. It is very great to see that the boy and the mother have reunited, but there are many questions that come to my mid bout this topic. How did he stay quiet for so long and how was he feeling? do you think he ever thought he would be reunited with his mother?
