Bill Cosby Controversy- Pearson Chambers 4th

The sexual assault allegations that recently resurfaced against Bill Cosby first became public in 2005 when a former employee of his alma mater, Temple University, claimed he had drugged and abused her a year earlier at his suburban Philadelphia home. This is only one of many allegations that have been popping up since the 1960's.Many women have claimed to be paid off by Cosby or refused to go the the police at all fearing it would ruin their reputation.

I think this is only one example to a much bigger problem in our american society. Many of the claimed victims chose to go else where rather than the legal system. Whether it be bribes from Cosby or consulting with an attorney. Many these women had little to no faith in the legal system.I dont think this is a new problem at all but one that resurfaces with every celebrity case like this one

  1. Yeah, it does seem to be a bigger problem. We don't trust our own legal system.

  2. While I think Cosby should be prosecuted, why didn't the women speak out earlier?
