"sole survivor" Devon Travis

imagine being in a plane crash, and you are the ONLY person on the entire plane who gets to live. CNN interviewed these "sole survivors" from 4 different plane crashes: the miracle girl, a toddler, a co-pilot, and a man now looking for any and all plane crash survivors. Although some of their crashes happened almost 30 years ago, the survivors still hold onto this tragic time in their life, and have to live everyday knowing how lucky they are to be alive. CNN is broadcasting these 4 people's stories soon.

This is my biggest fear; I always imagine being in a plane and it going down. Planes and jetliners are huge, it seems improbable that something of this size can soar through the air with hundreds on people on it for hours on end. It shouldn't work am i right? these stories are shockers to make us realize that our life can be over in a blink of an eye. We cherish these huge vehicles to travel us to loved ones, new opportunities, or adventures; we also place so much security in them. I'm an airplane skeptic, they are just not for me. I will stay on land because i don't want to be apart of the lost people or the sole survivor. the article is really interesting, and i want to watch the special on their crashes though!

Even though I still fly when I have to, I also get nervous whenever getting inside of an airplane. I think that people forget often times the risk that they are putting themselves in. It will be very interesting to see what these survivors have to say.

  2. I actually saw a bit of these interviews on TV, and though its amazing that these people survived, many of them carry guilt and remorse for their survival. They feel that since they survived, they could have done something to help the others on the plane, and therefore feel partly "responsible" for the deaths of others.
