"Man shot dead at Florida theater showing 'Lone Survivor'"

Summary:
On Monday in Miami, Florida, a moviegoer shot one person and injured another while seeing the movie 'Lone Survivor.' The shooter and his wife went to go see the film and during it, he got in an argument about texting with a couple sitting in front of them. Suddenly, the assaulter pulled out a gun in frustration and shot both the man and woman. The man died but the woman was only injured. Another person in the theater calmed down the shooter until he was put into the hands of the police.

Analysis:
This situation astonishes me and makes me realize how crazy some people are... Was it really necessary to shoot someone just because they were texting in a movie theater? Yes, I'm sure it was distracting, but this guy took it to the extreme. Also, it was especially wrong to do such a thing in a movie about war/fighting for the rights of our country. Is it a coincidence that the movie they were watching was filled with guns and shooting, or did he plan that? Either way, the whole situation is wrong.

  1. This is very sad. You can't say that violence hasn't always been there but i think people are almost desensitized.

  2. This is a perfect example of just how out of control a situation can get. Something that is no big deal to another person may end up triggering more trouble than you thought possible.
