The article I chose talks about the Democrats that fell far short of the "blue wave" than they expected. It talks about that the Republicans lost fewer house seatsin the midterm election than Democratics did when Barack Obama was president.Mr. Pinkerton writes that Americans don't like power to be too concentrated. Divided government also gives President Trump and House of Democrats someone to blame the next time they run. Mr. Cassidy writes that Democrats did in fact have some remarkable wins for example Kansas and Wiscnosin.

I think it's pretty interesting how alot of people are feeling let down with the results of the election, especially in Texas. Some people in other states are satisfied and some are dissapointed. I wish more people that were Democrats did actually vote, because alot of people didn't vote that are actaully dissapointed with the outcomes. This relates to history because of the 1876 election between Rutherford B. Hayes and Samual J. Tilden. Tilden won more popular votes but in the electoral vote, it was unsure who won. Because of the Comprmise of 1877, the votes went to Hayes.
