This article was written on November 5,2018 by Michael Grynbaum and Niraj Chokshi. Before reading this article I had known about the migrant caravan but I did not know about the racist ad. I am disappointed but not surprised about this situation, but I am shocked that Fox News stopped airing the ad knowing how big of supporters of Trump they are. We can relate this to situations that used to happen in the South when people would make racist assumptions about minorities when the fact is that not all minorities are murderers, drug addicts, and criminals. The actions some take should not describe all minorities because many come to America to find job opportunities and care for their children.

Even Fox News Stops Running Trump Caravan Ad Criticized as Racist -Martina D’Orso
Recently, Trump made an ad endorsing the people of the United States to vote Republican at the coming midterm elections. This ad caused massive backlash towards the tv stations that aired it, and for good reason, since it was racist. CNN recognized this and didnt air the ad from the beginning, but NBC and Fox News did not realize this until later when they stopped airing the ad. Fox News is known as a large supporter of not onky Trump, but also Republicans, and with their almost constant updates of the caravan it was shocking for them to stop airing the ad. The ad featured a male, Luis Bracamontes who killed two police officers and saying how the people coming from the caravn will be like him and wont obey our laws and urged voters to stop the caravan and vote Republican.

This just goes to show the detriment of power in one man's hands over a whole nation, as Trump solely takes into account his beliefs and opinions, seeking to brainwash the country instead of create compromise. His ad is most definitely racist and manipulative, as it uses striking images and words to paint an abominable picture of Mexicans and Democrats alike, mainly exploiting the crime of illegal immigrant Luis Bracamontes, who killed two sheriff's deputies in 2014, and the ad falsely professes that Democrats "let him into our country". But couldn't a shocking crime of any Republican be used to veer popular opinion in favor of the Democrats as well? And why is this brainwashing stunt being used by our very own president??
