Autopsy finds rapper Mac Miller died from drugs and alcohol

Rapper Mac Miller died from an accidental overdose dealing with a mixture of drugs and alcohol.{cocaine,alcohol,and opioid fentanyl} He was a 26 year old from Pittsburgh, who talked about his depression and addiction in his raps.

He was the latest musician whose death was that was apart in recent years of opioid abuse and overdose. Prince the famous singer, died in 2016 when he took counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl that had looked like a version of the painkiller Vicodin.





Analysis: In the rap and music industry drugs are a huge concern, and many artists are dying from it. This is a global issue also with people on a day to day basis and people struggling with addiction. This relates to history because when Irish and Germans migrated to America they brought their drinking habits from their country. This caused some Americans to turn to drinking and it became very dangerous. People were getting addicted to it, showing up to work not present, abusing their wives etc. I believe the audience to this story is everyone. Many people struggle with use of drugs and alcohol everyday and hopefully this tragic story will wake people up and show them this is the effect of it.
