Victoria Garza "For Hotels, Bedbugs Are Bad Enough, And Social Media Adds To Irritation"

Recently, bedbugs have become a source of negative feedback for hotels. With social media being such a big part of our every day routine, one negative review could ruin the reputation of a hotel. Bedbugs have become a huge complaint among travelers, and potential prevents visitors from staying at hotels with reported bedbugs. Hotels have had to take matters into their own hands and prevent or treat the bedbugs if spotted in hotels.
This relates to US history because of the huge impact advertising can have on companies. In these media focused days, reviews act as advertisements for businesses. I know a majority of people wouldn't be satisfied sleeping with bedbugs, myself included, so I can understand why these reviews are creating a problem for hotels. The only real solution is to keep the bedbugs away in order to keep the guests satisfied with their stay.
