Arguments over Scalia's replacement: Sam Nester


    Since Scalia’s death, 2 moderately conservative senators stated that they believe that Obama’s potential Supreme Court candidate should receive a hearing.
        I personally disagree with this statement, since the president is allowed to put whoever he wants into that position. Just because someone with different views than you will be in the Supreme Court doesn't mean that a hearing is necessary. This is similar to the situation with immigrants during the 20’s, they were seen as communists, even though most of them were not, and they were unconstitutionally thrown in prison.
