Summary: Two Southwest pilots were suspended for landing the plane at the wrong airport, which was 7 miles away from the right one. After the plane landed the passengers were put onto another plane and was flown to the right one, the airport is looking into all circumstances that made the pilots land in the wrong airport.
Analysis: I really can't believe that they would do this to the pilots just for landing on the wrong airport, I'm mostly wondering why they would do this. This doesn't really make sense to me, but it must be really important where they had to do this.
I really can't believe that they were just suspended for misguiding a plane. Shouldn't you be fired for that big, life threatening mistake.
ReplyDeleteWell, I personally see it as an understandable mistake, since the airports were only 7 miles apart. However, I also heard that the runway was too small, since it wasn't made for big airplanes. That could've been dangerous. Mostly, what confuses me is how they could mistake an airport that wasn't made for big airplanes for one that was. Weird - just weird.
