Summary: In Tuesday's UN meeting, Trump "fired" at North Korea by calling Kim Jong Un, North Korea's dictator, a "Rocket man on a suicide mission," in reference to the repeated nuclear missile test firings that have occurred over the past months. Trump also stated that the U.S. is completely and totally prepared to "wipe out" North Korea if they choose to not back down.

Position: North Korea is treading in deep waters. Trump is an easily angered President and will not hesitate in blowing North Korea off the map. This conflict relates back to the Cold War of the 60s and 70s, when JFK and LBJ were President.

  1. I think it's utterly terrifying that such egotistical hot headed men have access to an arsenal of weapons that could wipe whole countries off the map. I think Trump should think before he just spews whatever comes out of his head because North Korea seems to be posing a legitimate threat to us, but of course if they attack us we'll fire back ten times worse and kill millions so its really a lose lose situation all around.

    1. Yeah, I've said this many times before but as the commander in chief he should take a step back and think about what he's saying and doing will affect the country as a whole.

  2. Its almost as if Trump is itching for North Korea to start a war. Its unpresidential and dangerous. We don't know what North Korea is planning and Trumps words are breaking the ice.

    1. It seems that, as a man who hasn't been involved in politics for most of his life, he's kind of excited to exercise his newfound power and have some fun (a trait we probably shouldn't have in our leader).

  4. The way that Trump uses his words seems more so to encourage those who follow him, rather than directly threaten North Korea, he also openly boasts about the weapon arsenal saying things such as "We are powerful, and do not want war, but if North Korea continues we will have no choice".
