The world is a very dangerous and scary place. So many disasters have come and gone in matter of 2 months. Everyone is scared and getting prepared to take cover in order to be safe. On September 7th, an 8.1 earthquake struck off the east coast of Mexico. Mexican dispatchers have been sent to look for survivors. Mexican officials declare the official death toll to be 90 dead. So sad! I can't even imagine what everyone there is going through. My prayers are being sent their way! This artical was written by Rebecca Blackwell.
This relates to what we're learning and reading about now because everyone of the officials are doing everything to find more survivors and get them to safety. In the wars beck then everyone in the army was close and wanted to make sure everyone was okay and well to fight along with them. They are both fighting in a different way, but still fighting for their lives. They're in my prayers!

This event that has effected Mexico is devastating. My heart goes out to the families that lost loved ones and possibly have damaged property. Hopeful we a as a country can unite to divide some of our relief resources to send to them.
ReplyDeleteIt's heartbreaking to hear about the numerous earthquakes that Mexico has been having, and it really sends a message on the need for improvement for the quality of architectural housing within the country. The death toll could have been greatly reduced if there was a standard on the structural quality of residential buildings in Mexico.
ReplyDeleteThis is a horrible tragedy for those who have suffered a loss of their family or homes in Mexico. I agree with your first sentence, the world the past couple of weeks have been very dangerous and scary.
