Brooklyn Teen Risks Life To Save Others- JJ Jankovsky

June 3rd, a teen from Brooklyn, Mark Kindschuh, puts his own life in danger to safe others. A man was lying on the ground, bleeding from the head due to a terrorist attack in a local pub. He couldn't believe that there was only one man helping him. So Mark sprinted up to the man who had been shot in the head and began to help him. Just before that armed terrorists were plowing through pedestrians on the London Bridge and ran through the streets with matches in hand, stabbing innocent citizens. Unfortunately, 8 lives were lost that day. In a few weeks, Mark was noticed for his bravery by receiving the ROTC Medal of Heroism. We need more people like this today! what would you do in this situation?

This relates back to history because from what we know, Pocahontes saved John Smith from death. Without her, he thinks he would have died. She risked going against her people and her father to help this man she barely knew at the time. Just like Kindschuh did that terrible day. Although we don't know for sure if she actually saved him, it still was an amazing act of bravery and kindness. Truely heros!

  1. This is so amazing! Most teenagers wouldn't be brave enough to step up and put someone before themselves. It truly takes a special person.
