http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/09/11/550096947/at-least-7-people-fatally-shot-in-dallas-suburb-officer-kills-suspect

In this article the author , Scott Neuman, explains the tragedy that happened Sunday night in plans. A gunman in a Quiet neighborhood fatally shot and killed 7 people , while wounding 2 others, while they were watching a cowboys football game. I choose this article because it amazes me that people are not safe even in their own home. I saw this story while scrolling on  Twitter and it made me think about how unsafe many people feel in a place where they are supposed to feel the safest like school , work , or home. This arcticle was written to inform people about what happened in their own  neighborhood and I think to make them realize that they need to inforce more rules. This article is also just to inform us about the tragedy that occurred so close to us but I think that people should always get a deeper meaning behind these articles and realize we have to keep ourselves safe if no one else will do it for us. This article is so relevant in this day and age because we don’t know what someone else is going through that makes them think it is ok to harm others , but it is happening a lot recently. This is just like the time the gunkan killed all the dallas police officers. People need to realize that we have be prepared for everything and anything to happen.

  1. I completely agree with that some people are safe in their own homes and that there should be more awareness for these people. It's sad that things like this seem to happen all the time and nothing is getting done about it. I don't know exactly what the solution is but I think it starts with having a conversation about it!
