A survivor tells of the recent Midwest tornado sweep. The article was uploaded on Yahoo! News 9 hours earlier (11/18/13), just a day after the sudden weather hit Illinois.

In the video, Kris Lancaster and his wife stand in the cold, shivering, and tell Good Morning America of the devastating tornados that swept across their neighborhood and destroyed their house. Lancaster had been recording the inclement weather until ushered to find shelter, and was almost killed in the process. Lancaster appears to wear an eye patch after the event.  Luckily, he and his family survived, but their home was lost, only after two years of living there.

Many others have similar stories, and most have come out worse than the Lancaster’s, and neighboring cities and states are doing all they can to rebuild the area. “Thanks for the support,” Lancaster says, “We need anything that anybody can send us.”
