Carsin Ablon, 1st Period: Midwest tornadoes: 'The sky was just rumbling'

First of all, if you would like to donate, the linked source bellow has many options to donate to  disaster relief organizations such as the Red Cross.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/18/us/midwest-tornadoes/index.html?hpt=hp_t2                                                         Yesterday, on November 17th, 2013, a reported 80 tornadoes touched down throughout the Midwest, effecting mostly the state of Illinois as well as surrounding states such as Michigan and Ohio. Reports of tornadoes rolled in with heavy rains and many reports of pelleting, mid-sized to large hail. As a devastating result, 320 were injured, 7 traumatically, and 6 deaths have been announced while about 400 residential houses were completely leveled throughout highly effected areas of Illinois. Steve Butcher, one of the most effected by the storms who lost his wife and house explained the vicious nature of the storm in saying ""Within 30 seconds, the house was literally vibrating from the direct hit of this funnel cloud,".
Sadly, tragic disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and earthquakes simply can not be prevented or avoided; only reduced in effect by the safety precautions taken by humans. Although Midwestern states, especially Illinois, are architecturally built with the possibility of tornadoes in mind, the sheer power of the elements can not be underestimated. Although i do believe the significance of the linked article is to show the massive impact of the storms, the repeating natural disasters remind me that nature, at the end of the day, is the dominant force in the world. Humans alone can not directly cause disasters at this large of a caliber, however, disasters should be seen as nature not asking, but demanding a break from inhibitors.
