Texas Abortion Laws Unconstitutional - Morgan Brown 5th

Abortion has always been an issue or controversy amongst Americans. If abortion is legal or not is up to the state to determine. In the state of Texas, abortion has been made legal because the new laws against it were considered to be unconstitutional. The ruling of the laws being unconstitutional occurred a day before they were scheduled to take place. It was ruled unconstitutional because apparently the abortion laws violates the rights of women and puts unreasonable demands on doctors that perform abortions. The law was taken down by U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel.

Personally I'm neutral on if abortion should be legal or not. I feel as if abortion should only be use as a last option in emergencies if any at all. It shouldn't be used just because someone wasn't responsible and doesn't want people to find out. Plus abortion really just depends on the person and their beliefs. Its a women's body so it is that women's choice. Abortion being allowed in Texas, I believe can be beneficial if used correctly and not taken advantage of.

  1. I think abortion is such a personal choice that it is up to the woman. It is not up some politicians who are mainly basing their decisions on what will get them more votes in the next election. I think this case will keep going until the Supreme Court .

  2. These are our bodies we're talking about, and no politician should be able to tell me that I have to have a child because the idea of abortion makes them feel icky.

  3. Abortion really depends on many personal beliefs and factors that laws such as these would not be able to take into consideration. What if a woman was raped and became pregnant because of that? Doesn't she have a right to chose to have an abortion?
It's the woman's right to choose what is best for her depending on her situation. How would anyone else have the right to choose for her? That's just what a law making abortion illegal would be trying to do.
