Stabbings in Brooklyn by Addison Jordan

Summary: A mother and her four young children were stabbed to death in a New York apartment complex, and a relative is the suspected killer.  The children’s father’s cousin has been charged with the murders.

            “Mingdong Chen had been staying with the family for about a week before the stabbings occurred in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood. The 25-year-old is being charged with one count of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder, as well as criminal possession of a weapon,” says Officer Sophia Tassy-Mason.

                  The victims of the stabbings were identified as Qiao Zhen Li, 37; Linda Zhuo, 9; Amy Zhuo, 7; Kevin Zhuo, 5; and William Zhuo, 1. According to the police, all five victims had stab wounds to their upper bodies. Three of the children were found dead at the scene and the other child and the mother were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. “A kitchen knife or butcher knife was retrieved from the scene,” Tassy-Mason said.

           

Analysis: When things like this occur I just have to ask, why? What would make any human being that does not have a mental condition, want to take the lives of innocent people, especially children! How could you dare harm a 1-year-old child? That is just sick, and it’s just sad to hear about stories like this. The worst part about this is that stories like these are occurring more frequently. I hope the killer is punished for this terrible crime.
