KATEY GUINN 5th PERIOD "Father Charged With the Death of His 2-Year-Old Daughter"

2-year-old, Samarri Tyana Beauford, was playing in her living room unsupervised when she found her fathers .22 caliber pistol underneath the couch and shot herself. She was taken to the hospital around 12:30pm where she then later died. Her father who is 19, Melvin Andre Clark Jr., was charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm. His bail was $50,000 until officials ran his name in the system and found some outstanding warrants. He he has also been charged for misdemeanor cruelty to animals, larceny and marijuana possession, convictions of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of a firearm by a minor.
This shows you that some people should NOT have the privilege of having a child because they are not smart enough to take care of it. The way I see it is that this father should not have left his gun underneath the couch because toddlers like to get their hands on everything. He did not care enough to put the safety lock on it. If someone has outstanding warrants to their name, they should not be able to be the guardian of a child. Because of his stupidity, a child is dead. He deserves whatever punishment is coming to him.

  1. Totally agreed. It's proof enough that not everyone should have children, especially the ones who have outstanding warrants in their name.
