On Thursday morning of September 7th, SpaceX launched an unmanned Air Force plane known as X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle. Not much is known about this classified US Air Force plane except that it carries "experimental payloads" that consist of experimental electronics and heat pipes. However, this plane is apart of the Department of Defense's Rapid Capabilities Office. This department works specifically on fighting urgent national security threats. SpaceX is aeronautics company that produces aeronautics for the military. They have become a major company in this sector since 2014 when they sued this US government for not being considered fairly. It has completed several successful launches and contracts ever since. This launch also occurred as Hurricane Irma bore down on Cape Canaveral.

Analysis: My thoughts on this is that this plane was built to help update satellites recently launched into orbit by the US Air Force. It is most likely to be manned soon since it was a successful launch and landing. This vehicle is interesting because it is launched vertically but lands on a runway much like an airplane.
